Manufactured in 1932. This beautiful Parker Brothers VHE grade has been carefully engraved and gold inlaid by Master Engraver Lee Griffiths. The barrels feature gold inlaid bands at the muzzle with 1/2 inch wedges of scroll engraving. The chambers features 2 inch wedges of tight scroll, gold and silver inlaid Quail heads and gold wire band inlays at the breech. The frame is a deep blue finish with extensive, highly detailed floral and scroll engraving covering almost the entire visible surface . The sides of the action feature game bird engravings with three Quail on the right side one being gold inlaid and three quail on the left again one bird is gold inlaid. The underside of the frame features an incredibly detailed Bulino style engraving of a hunting dog and bird with an inlaid gold wire border. "PARKER" is engraved on the underside of the frame at the hinge. The engravers signature "LEE GRIFFITHS" is found on the trigger plate just left of the trigger. Fitted with a Miller single selective trigger and tang mounted thumb safety. The lower tang is highly engraved and marked with the serial number which has been carefully gold inlaid. The barrels have dual white bead sights, Vulcan steel marking on the rib, 2 3/4 inch chambers and are choked full/full. The underside of the barrel is fitted with a small steel post with an incredibly finely detailed hawks head engraved on it. Mounted on a extra fancy checkered beavertail forearm with contrasting wood tip insert and engraved hardware. The buttstock is wonderfully figured dark walnut with fleur de lis checkered flats and high relief fleur de lis accents at the finely checkered wrist. With a silver initial shield on the underside and a leather covered recoil pad. Length of pull is 13 3/4 inches. Very fine as master engraved, gold inlaid and stocked. With 99% of the blue finish, showing some very light handling marks and areas of pitting along the length of the barrels that have been cleaned and finished over. The wood is very fine with nice dark figuring, sharp checkering, light handling marks and wear on the recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
