This is a special order FE Grade exhibition quality shotgun manufactured by Connecticut Shotgun Manufacturing that features blue barrels; satin grey action, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware, and gold triggers; dual bead sights on the matte solid rib, modified/modified, 2 3/4 inch chambers; and ejectors. The muzzle end of the barrels has a 1 inch wedge of relief engraved floral vine with a matte background, and there is a gold inlaid wire band around the muzzles. There is a 2 3/4 inch wedge of the same relief engraving at the breech end with gold inlaid accents and a gold inlaid wire band around the breech ends. There is a floral design on the extension as well as a thin gold inlaid line. The top of the right barrel near the breech is marked "MADE TO ORDER - A.H. FOX", and "KRUPP FLUID STEEL" is on the left barrel. The scalloped action, break lever, trigger guard and forearm hardware are engraved with a floral vine design, as well as two ducks in a marsh scene on the left side of the action, two quail in a wooded scene on the right side and two pheasants in a wooded scene on the underside. Below the scene on the underside is "ANSLEY H FOX" in gold, and the action and upper tang have gold inlaid wire bordering and accents. The trigger guard has an oval panel with a fox in a wooded scene and gold inlaid wire border, and there is a woodcock on the break lever. Directly to the right of the triggers it is signed "J DAVIDSON". The underside of the barrels is marked "CT. SHOTGUN MFG./NEW BRITIAN, CT. U.S.A." The barrel flat and water table are marked in gold inlay "FE SPECIAL", and the serial number is also gold inlaid on the water table, lower tang and the forearm hardware. The forearm hardware is also marked "SPECIAL/FE". The water table is also marked with the three line patent dates, and is engraved with a floral leaf design and wavy line and dot bordering. Double triggers, tang mounted automatic safety with gold "S" and mounted with an extra fancy fluer-de-lis checkered walnut forearm and straight grip stock with checkered flats and checkered bare butt. Length of pull is 14 3/4 inches. Drop at comb is 1 1/2. Drop at heel is 2 3/8 inches and 1/4 inch cast on. Weight is 5lbs 14oz. Comes with a key locking tan leather hard case with leather corner protectors, straps and handle, and green felt lining

Excellent. 99% plus original blue finish remains on the barrels with a small ding on the left barrel. All of the original satin grey finish remains. The wood is excellent with a few light handling marks and a small minor bruise in the checkering on the left flat; otherwise, the checkering is sharp. All of the gold inlay remains. The markings and engraving are sharp. Mechanically excellent. The case excellent.
