It is marked "W & C. SCOTT & SON. MAKERS & PANTENTEES. I.O.G.T CASTLE STREET REGENT CIRCUS LONDON" on the top of the rib, "W & C SCOTT PATENT" on the break lever, "W & C SCOTT & SON" on the sides, has a patent marking on the depressing forearm release, various English proofmarks and "NOT FOR BALL" on the bottom of the barrels, additional proofs and makers marks on the water table, and matching serial numbers on the various components. The bottom of the butt has an initial shield with a monogram consisting of "C," "B," and what looks to be an "H." There are engraved border designs throughout and scrollwork on the hammers. It has a single bead front sight on the rib, improved cylinder and cylinder chokes, and 2 3/4 inch chambers with an extractor. The forearm and round knob, semi-pistol grip stock have checkering, tear drop flats, attractive burl figure, a checkered buttplate, and a 14 1/8 inch length of pull.

Very good as partially refinished. The barrels display detailed English twist Damascus patterns and light original finish. The sides of the action and protected areas display vibrant case colors, and the balance has a gray patina with some spots of oil. The wood is very good as re-oiled and has crisp checkering, a very small crack on the left side at the tail of the side plate, and some light scratches. It is mechanically excellent and has crisp markings.
