The serial number dates to 1891. The rifle has since been beautifully custom relief panel scene engraved and gold inlaid and mounted with checkered fancy grade walnut with a high polish finish. Notice the detail in the game scenes on each side of the thick side frame and the intricate scrollwork on the remaining sections including the barrel at the breech. The barrel also has pairs of wide and thin gold bands at the muzzle and breech and the caliber designation and barrel address are inlaid with gold.

Fine as professionally custom engraved, inlaid, stocked, and refinished. The rifle looks like it just left the shop. 99% plus of the finish remains with only a few slight handling and storage marks. The stock retains all of the glossy vanish over the beautiful figure and has crisp checkering. The action functions excellently, and the markings and engraving are distinct.
