Griffin & Howe began building high end custom rifles in 1923. The top of the barrel is marked "No. 1414 GRIFFIN & HOWE INC., NEW YORK," and the left side at the breech is marked "22-3000 R-2." It is equipped with a beaded blade front sight with hood and ramp, a 12x Unertl scope, and double set triggers. There is no visible serial number on the receiver, but the upper tang has the three line trademark marking. It is mounted on a multi-point checkered forearm with contrasting tip and a multi-point checkered semi-pistol grip stock with cheek piece, high comb, and checkered shotgun buttplate.

Very fine as professionally custom built. 98% of the blue finish remains. There is a small scratch on the right side of the receiver and some overall light handling and storage marks. The optics are clear.
