SEDGLEY, INC. PHILA. PA. U.S.A," "CAL 22 W.C.F./HORNET," and a circled "S" on the left side of the barrel. The butt is marked "Emit/Mc Connell/OAKRIDGE NS FEB 6-1974" under the buttplate. Includes a copy of the American Rifleman article "The Sedgley Single-Shot Hornet and .22 Long Rifle" by F. C. Ness discussing Sedgley's fine single shots.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as custom R.F. Sedgley built. 97% of the high quality custom blue finish remains. There are two small sections of brown patina on the lever and otherwise only light handling and storage marks. The wood is also very fine with some slight handling and storage marks and crisp checkering. It is mechanically excellent and has distinct markings. An near mint short range Varmint rifle on a flat side (thick side) coil spring action formerly part of the Duncan McConnel Collection.
