Description:

Manufactured in 1872 this Winchester Model 1866 SRC was subsequently replated. The only visible marking is the serial number on the lower tang. Full length tube magazine, front sight blade integral with the front barrel band and folding two leaf rear sight. Saddle ring and staple mounted on the left side of the receiver. Mounted with a smooth forearm secured with a single barrel band and straight grip stock with crescent buttplate with compartment, (cleaning rod not included).

Rating Definition:

Good as period replated/refinished with a smooth mottled gray/brown patina on the barrel and magazine tube. The receiver and buttplate retain most of the nickel finish with some edge wear and scattered flaking. The wood is also good has having been freshened with a coat of varnish some time ago, showing scattered dents and scratches. The action is fine.
