These pistols were likely produced in Spain or Italy in the early 19th century and adorned by a craftsman in North Africa or the Middle East. The muzzles measure 1 5/8 inches across, and the caliber above is an estimate. Nearly all of the locks, the majority of the barrels, and nearly all of the brass furniture is covered in coarse floral scroll and martial themed engraving. The breeches have uneven oval dished sights which are obscured by the tang screws. The stocks have brass wire inlays and martial and floral themed carving. The engraving on the barrels and locks have gold fill.

Very good. About half of the gold fill remains. The balance of the iron components have gray and brown patina and oxidation. The brass has an aged patina. The stock is fine as with some small chips, scratches, small bits of absent inlay, and gaps at the junction with the buttcap. The lock is fine.

Good. The barrel and lock have primarily brown and gray patina and retain strong gold fill. There is some oxidation, and the frizzen has a chip on the outside edge. The brass has an aged patina. The stock is fine with some chips and scratches, some gaps at the buttcap, a small crack at the breech on the left, and some slight inlay pieces absent. The lock needs work.
