Consignor notes attribute them as "kamikaze dirks". 1) Tanto, 13 1/4 inches overall with an 8 inch blade, showing a wavy hamon, a curved tapering of the back edge, a set of double fullers and a gold-finished copper habaki. The tang is signed on both sides, 4 symbols on the right and 5 on the left. A set of horn accent caps are fitted to the mountings, with carved bone bolsters on a lanyard hole on the grip. 2) Tanto, 9 3/4 inches overall with a 5 inch blade, wavy hamon, copper habaki, ebony wedge inserts in the ends of the fittings and 5 untranslated symbols carved in the right side of the grip.
