Each item is finely carved, with a hole or slot for running a cord and an untranslated 2-3 figure signature on the back or underside. Included with the lot is a fabric covered box with padded inner lining, large enough to accommodate the netsuke. 1) 3 inch long netsuke depicting three old men drinking sake on a boat that is also a large bird. 2) 2 5/6 inch tall netsuke featuring the ashinaga-tenaga, a pair of monsters from Japanese folklore, one with abnormally long arms, the other abnormally long legs. The ashinaga-jin (long legged one) is decorated with a carved and detailed robe with purple stone accents. 3) 1 1/2 inch tall netsuke noh mask.

All are very fine, with fine detail and attractive grain and color.
