Manufactured by the Ludwig Borovnik company of Ferlach, Austria. The Borovnik family has been producing fine shotguns, double rifles and drillings since 1848. With a blade front and automatic flip up rear express sight. The rib is marked "MADE IN AUSTRIA". The makers name "LUD. BOROVNIK-FERLACH" is found under the forearm on the center rifle barrel along with standard German commercial proofs, caliber and chamber markings. The shotgun barrels have 2 3/4 inch chambers, an extractor and full chokes. The rifle barrel is marked "222". The frame is beautifully engraved with field scenes on the sides, a hunting dog and game birds on the right and two deer on the left. The balance is engraved in a swirling vine motif. The blue trigger guard is engraved with the Flaigs logo of "FLAIG'S" over a cabin. Mounted on a multi-point checkered deluxe wood forearm and pistol grip stock with a horn grip cap, raised cheekpiece and a vented Pachmayr recoil pad. The underside of the barrel and buttstock are fitted with sling swivels. Length of pull is 14 1/8 inches

Excellent with 90% plus original finish remaining, showing general handling marks, light surface scratches, light edge wear and minimal spotting. The wood is very good with some bruised checkering, indentations, small scuffs and scratches. Stock cut for added recoil pad. Mechanically excellent.
