Description:

This is an excellent example of a very rare TE-TAR semiautomatic pistol that was manufactured by the Webley & Scott company. This pistol is actually a copy of the "TARN" first model pistol that was produced by the Swift Rifle Company in London, only it is chambered in 32 ACP. It is an excellent, well made design that is reportedly 1 of only 4 to 5 pistols actually manufactured by W&S. It is a blow back operated, single action, semi-automatic pistol that closely resembles the 1922 Browning pistol. The left side of the slide is marked "N4 TE-TAR", with the top of the slide marked in two lines: "W.S./1942/27/VI". The serial number or assembly number "4" is stamped on the lower right side of the frame under the grip and again on top of the rear sight and the front underside of the slide. It has fixed front and rear sights that are dovetailed into the top of the slide and it is fitted with fully checkered walnut grips. It has a lanyard loop on the lower left side and is complete with the original magazine.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 97% of a flat war time brushed military style blue finish overall with minor edge and high spot wear. The grips are in fine condition overall with light checkering on both sides showing minor light pressure dent and handing marks. A very unique and exceptionally well made WWII era, Webley & Scott "TE-TAR" semi-automatic pistol.
