Manufactured in 1940 and subsequently custom embellished and plated. With a fixed blade front and notch rear sights on the slide marked "P. BERETTA-CAL. 765-BREVETATTA/GARDONE V.T. 1940-XVIII". The serial number is marked on the underside of the right side of the slide, the top of the left side frame rail and a partial number "1943" is found on the barrel lug and some of the internal small parts. The frame and slide feature tight, detailed floral and scroll engraving with clear proof marks on the left side of the frame. The grips are cream colored Franzite with inset "FRANZITE" medallions. Includes the book "Beretta Automatic Pistols" by J.B. Wood.

Very good as custom engraved and replated with 98% of the chrome plating, scattered light spotting, surface scratches and general handling marks. The non-factory replacement grips are very good with light handling marks and some discoloration. Mechanically excellent.
