Blade front and tangent rear sights graduated to 1,000 meters, with the top of the chamber marked "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N", "Crown/Crown/U" proof on the upper left flat, and the serial number on the left side. Finish is a high polish blue with a bright bolt and a matte gray hammer assembly. Fitted with a pair of 12-groove hardwood grips and a hardwood shoulder stock with unnumbered niter blue hardware, a Mauser banner stamp near the hinge, and "DEER" in stenciled black paint on the left side.

Excellent with 98% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish showing some bright wear along the high edges and around the stock slot as well as some minor spotting and handling marks overall. The grips are excellent with some mild dings. The shoulder stock is very fine with 90% of the nitre blue remaining on the stock attachment iron and hinge with a painted stencil on the left side of wood. The significance of "DEER" is unknown, possibly the name of a previous owner. Mechanically excellent.
