Description:

A descendant of the Mannlicher Model 1901 pistol, the Triumph Pistol is a compact direct-blowback semi-automatic pistol chambered for the more common 7.65mm Browning (32 ACP) cartridge and outfitted with a detachable magazine curved to follow the profile of the grip. Fixed sights and "THE BEST AUTOMATIC PISTOL = TRIUMPH" on the right side of the slide and "FOR THE 765 CARTRIDGE" on the left. It features a knurled wide Mannlicher hammer, smooth trigger, and a pair of horn grips with carved texture. A similar example pictured in Matthews Firearms Identification Volume III #2025.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 25% of the blue finish, a fine dark blue color present on the barrel, plum brown on the chamber, and a mixed brown/gray with mild pitting on the remainder. The grips are good as slightly undersized with some dings and scuffs. The safety is absent, but it is otherwise mechanically good.
