This is an example of an early production Mauser Model 1930 Commercial Broomhandle Pistol with shoulder stock. The top of the barrel chamber is marked "WAFFENFABRIK / MAUSER/ OBERNDORF A/N", with a "crown/U" proof on the left upper flat and the serial number on the left side. (Early placement as the later examples were stamped on top rear.) The left rear panel of the receiver is marked with the Mauser banner and the right rear of the frame is marked "WAFFENFABRIK MAUSER/OBERNDORF A. NECKAR/D.R.P.u.A.P." The "crown/U" proof is repeated on the top of the bolt handle. Integral blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated from 50 to 1,000 meters. All blue finish and fitted with 12 groove walnut grips and lanyard ring on the butt. Complete with a wooden stock/holster with the Commercial Mauser banner logo stamped on the left rear.

Exceptional overall. The pistol retains close to 99% original high polish blue finish with some minor thinning on the back strap and front portion of the magazine housing, as well a few minor dings on the front of the magazine housing. There is some minor wear on the front edges of the slide rails. The grips are also excellent with a few minor dents. The markings are highlighted in white and remain clear and crisp. The wood portion of the shoulder stock is in beautiful condition with a few minor dents. The attaching iron is very fine with 40% blue with the balance of the finish having flaked off leaving a smooth brown. The hinge retains 99% of the original bright blue nitre finish. Mechanically excellent.
