Description:

Manufactured in 1936 the Siamese Contract pistols bear most of the markings and features of Mauser's pre-World War II Commercial Luger, with the addition of a small lion head stamp and the inventory number "200" (in Siamese) on the rear of the frame. Produced in limited quantities, the Siamese Lugers saw heavy use in a humid climate leaving few available on the American market in any condition. The barrel is of the Artillery style with a fixed blade front sight and a tangent rear sight. The chamber is dated "1936", with the Mauser banner on the front toggle link, "crown/crown/U" proofs on the extension and breechblock, a hand-added Odin Incorporated importer mark on the underside of the frame ahead of the trigger guard and the aforementioned inventory number on the rear of the frame. Fitted with a pair of checkered grips and a blue magazine with matching numbered alloy base.

Rating Definition:

Very good with 30% of the faded original blue finish showing areas of gray and brown patina overall, brighter wear along the edges and some pitting. The barrel is not numbered to the rest of the pistol though it does show a level of wear comparable to the rest of the piece and the rear toggle link may have had a sight removed. Traces of straw color are present on the rear of the trigger and mild dings and dents are present on the grips. Mechanically fine.
