This is a WWI military Luger pistol that was reworked into a 1933 Nazi police Luger that was then subsequently reworked into a commercial Luger pistol in the 1940s by the Von Nordheim company for commercial sales. The front grip strap is stamped "L. AI. 103.", indicating issuance to Landjagerei, (rural police) in Allenstein. It was then converted for sale in Germany. The chamber area is marked "VONO" with a commercial barrel being installed stamped on top "Cal 9m/m". The right side of the barrel extension is stamped "W.P.NORDHEIM/ZELLA MEHLIS". The right and left side frame rails, underside of the barrel and the breechblock and toggle train all have the post-1940 Nazi "Eagle/N" commercial firing proofmarks, with the underside of the barrel also stamped with the Nazi "Eagle/J" proofmark correctly noted that it has been reworked. It still retains the small flat sear bar safety spring over the side plate. It has a blued finish with straw colored small parts and checkered beech wood grips. It comes with a blued magazine with an aluminum base that has had the numbers removed.

Very good as partially refinished with extensive cold blue touch up in various areas such as the side plate, barrel and grip straps. The balance of the pistol retains 50% of the faded blue finish. The smaller parts retain traces of the straw colors in the protected areas. The grips are also in very good condition with distinct checkering. Mechanically excellent.
