Designed by Ferdinand Ritter Von Mannlicher of Austria, the Mannlicher Carbine is lightweight and compact, and uses a short recoil action with a concealed internal hammer, a reciprocating cocking lever that doubles as a hammer position indicator and a detachable double-stack magazine assembly. Blade front and 4-position tangent peep rear sights, with an integral clip guide, straw finished small parts, and matching serial numbers on multiple parts including the magazine. The smooth forearm encloses nearly the entirety of the barrel, with a matching numbered cap/sight base at the front, a checkered pistol grip, right handed cheekpiece, and a smooth steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine as professionally restored, with 98% of the rust blue finish, showing a small amount of covered pitting and mild handling marks overall. The rear sight elevator is numbered to another pistol-carbine. Stock is also fine, lightly sanded and reoiled with sharp checkering and attractive grain. Mechanically excellent.
