Description:

The Stevens model 77E was the most widely used shotgun in the Vietnam war. It has a single nickel bead sight, is choked full and has a 2 3/4 inch chamber. The right side of the receiver is stamped "U.S." and the top of the receiver and barrel are stamped with a "P" proofmark. Mounted with a ribbed hardwood forearm and pistol grip stock with red rubber recoil pad. Fitted with sling swivels at the magazine plug and on the stock. Length of pull is 12 7/8 inches. The short length of pull is reported to be factory to accommodate South Vietnamese soldiers.

Rating Definition:

Excellent with 98% plus original Vietnam era gray/green parkerized finish showing light scattered spotting and small nicks and scuffs. The wood is also excellent with a correct mostly dark oiled finish, some areas of lighter wood, general handling marks and a few small dings. Mechanically excellent.
