Late production M1 Carbine manufactured by the Underwood-Elliot-Fisher Corporation. The receiver heel is marked: "UNDERWOOD" above the serial number and the barrel is stamped: "UNDERWOOD / 3-44 / Ordnance Bomb / P" behind the front sight. The carbine has an adjustable rear sight marked "I.R.CO." on the right side. The underside of the bayonet lug is marked "EM-Q". The stock is marked with the circled "P" in the grip and a boxed "RIA / EB" just ahead of the sling slot. Complete with a green GI canvas sling, one 15 round magazine, oiler and U.S. marked canvas sleeve.

Arsenal refurbished. The carbine retains 90% of the thinning original green parkerized finish. The stock is very good as freshened with a few scattered overall minor dings and dents and clear cartouches. The date, (44), on the barrel is a little weak, otherwise the markings are clear. Mechanically fine.
