Description:

Named for their association with America's airborne units, the Paratrooper Carbine was solely made by the Inland Manufacturing Division of General Motors in two identified serial number blocks, with this one falling in the first block. "N" front and two-leaf "S" rear sights, with an Inland barrel dated "3-43", a Type I "UI" bayonet lug, flat bolt, milled trigger guard, push button safety and a "W-I" magazine catch. The stock is the early high wood style with "IO" on the bottom of the grip, tan canvas sling, matching colored magazine pouch marked "G.B.MFG.CO., Inc/1943", two extra magazines, a leather cheekpiece with brass rivets and an oiler, and a swiveling steel buttplate with proper casting markings.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 30% of the finish, showing areas of brown and gray patina, bright edge wear and scattered handling marks. Some cracking is present on the moderately worn reoiled wood, particularly on the right side, with scattered dings and scuffs overall. The metal components of the stock are good. Mechanically excellent.
