This is an excellent example of a late production pre-ban Springfield Armory M1A semi automatic rifle. These were a direct copy of the US M14 rifles only in semi-automatic. The rear of the receiver is marked "U.S. RIFLE /M1A/SPRINGFIELD/ARMORY circled T" over the serial number. It is fitted with a Harrington and Richardson 1961 dated barrel. The trigger group housing is marked "TRW" with the drawing number, "H&R" marked safety, TRW bolt carrier and a Springfield Armory operating rod. Fitted with a long flash hider with bayonet lug and a brown composite handguard. The receiver has been fitted with a side mounted Smith Enterprises scope rail with a Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40mm illuminated reticle scope. It is fitted with a new production, heavy target type walnut stock with oil finish with sling swivels and a checkered steel flip up shoulder rest and checkered steel buttplate with trap. Includes an extra 30 round magazine and a black nylon web sling.

Excellent with 98% plus original parkerized finish remaining showing some light handling and cycling marks. The wood is excellent with some scattered light indentations and general handling marks. Mechanically excellent. The optics are very clear.
