Manufactured in 1949. This example has a hooded ramp front sight and a Lyman receiver sight base. The barrel has been drilled and tapped for scope blocks with filler screws in place. Standard Winchester markings including the factory proof on the left side of the barrel and receiver at the breech and "SPORTING" marked in front of the trigger guard. Fitted with a Griffin & Howe quick release scope mount and a Lyman Alaskan 5x scope. The nicely figured pistol grip stock has fine multi-point checkering on the forearm and grip area, ebony forend tip, raised cheek piece factory hard rubber grip cap, inset sling swivel studs and checkered steel buttplate.

Very fine as period custom refinished with 99% of the blue remaining, light handling marks and a small ding on the bolt knob. The reoiled wood is fine with scattered small indentations, "1949" scratched on left side, light surface scratches and well defined checkering. Mechanically excellent.
