Manufactured in 1960. Manufactured without sights on the barrel marked "338 WIN MAG" on the left side of the chamber area. The receiver is marked with the oval "WP" Winchester proof offset to the left side and the Winchester legend on the receiver rail. The receiver is drilled, tapped and mounted with a Leupold VARI-X III 2.5x8 scope. The pistol grip stock is nicely figured walnut with multi-point checkering at the forearm and grip, sling swivel studs, steel grip cap, raised cheek piece and a vented Pachmayr recoil pad.

Very good as rebarreled and refinished with 95% of the blue finish, general handling type marks, some light surface scratches and dings and small areas of high point and edge wear. The wood is good with small indentations throughout, light bruising in the forearm checkering, small surface cracks on the buttstock and a few dings on the cheekpiece. Mechanically very good. The optics are very clear.
