Description:

The included S&W factory letter confirms the caliber, barrel length, and nickel finish and that the revolver had checkered silver medallion walnut grips when it was shipped to Wolf & Klar Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, on March 6, 1930. The pearl grips were a trademark of Wolf & Klar. This model of revolver is also known as the Wolf & Klar Model due to the involvement the gun dealer in the reintroduction of the shrouded ejector rod. Standard S&W markings and all nickel finish with casehardened hammer and trigger. The frame and crane have the same assembly number (84491), and the barrel is numbered to the gun. The right grip panel has a carved steer head.

Rating Definition:

Very fine. The revolver retains 95% original nickel finish showing some scattered minor flaking and pitting. The slightly undersized grips are fine with a couple minor chips missing near the tops and an area of missing pearl on the left panel which has been filed smooth. Mechanically excellent.
