Description:

Manufactured in 1900 with the Third Model integral dust cover guide rail and a dust cover with serrated grasping grooves on the tail. It is fitted with a bayonet stud style blade front sight in front of the magazine retaining ring, a notch rear sight with a folding leaf graduated out to 200 yards, saddle ring and stud on the left side of the receiver, a smooth walnut forearm with single barrel band, and a straight grip walnut stock with carbine buttplate. It has the two line address and King's improvement patent marking on the barrel, "32 W.C.F." on the barrel at the breech, "32 CAL" on the cartridge elevator, the model designation on the upper tang, and the serial number on the lower tang.

Rating Definition:

Good. The barrel and magazine tube retains traces of the original blue finish fading to a smooth brown patina with scattered scratches and dings, brown speckling and light pitting. The receiver has faded to a smooth silver patina with scattered scratches and dings, brown speckling and light pitting. The brass cartridge elevator is bright. The reoiled wood is good with scattered scratches, dings and pressure dents. Mechanically fine.
