This is an excellent example of a pre-WWII Walther Model PPK pistol chambered in the scarce 9 mm Kurz (380 auto) cartridge. Additionally this pistol has the desirable bottom magazine release. Pistol has a high polish commercial blue finish. The left side of the slide is marked with the: "Walther Banner" followed by the two-line Walther factory legend and caliber followed by "Mod. PPK". The Serial number is marked vertically on the right side of the frame and inside the slide with the last three digits (976) of the serial number. The pre-war, "Crown/N" commercial proof mark is stamped on the right side of the barrel chamber and muzzle and on the slide below the ejection port. The safety lever, trigger and magazine release have a heat blue finish. The brown plastic grips have the Walther Banner at the top and checkered panels. The magazine has a high polished blue finish and is marked on the lower left side with the Walther Banner/"Cal. 9 M/M".
Excellent with 98% plus of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear. The grips are in excellent condition with nice brown color overall with some slight warpage on the lower front edges of the grips. A very attractive example of a scarce Walther PPK.
