Description:

Manufactured in 1921, this is a rarely encountered Winchester Model 1894 carbine with U.S. property markings. In addition to the standard Winchester markings, including the factory proof on the barrel and receiver, the carbine has a flaming ordnance bomb over "US" stamped on top of the receiver. Pinned blade front sight, ladder rear sight, saddle ring on left receiver side and full length magazine. Smooth forearm and straight grip stock with carbine buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Fine. The carbine retains 30% original blue finish with a smooth gray patina on the balance. The revarnished wood is very good with five notches near the stock toe and some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent. These U.S. marked Model 1894 Carbines are always found in worn condition and are among the most desirable of all U.S. issued Winchester long arms.
