The accompanying factory letter confirms the rifle takedown configuration, half octagon 20 inch barrel, 30-30 caliber and plain trigger. The rifle was received in warehouse in August 7, 1903 and shipped on August 8, 1903. Beaded blade Lyman front sight, rear sight dovetail slot with a Marbles filler base and tang peep sight. The top barrel flat is marked with the two line address and "30 WCF" and the upper left barrel flat is marked with the smokeless powder marking. Mounted on a nicely figured walnut forearm and straight grip stock with a crescent buttplate.

Very good. The rifle retains 25% original blue finish with scattered light pitting overall and a smooth brown-gray patina on the balance. The wood is also very with some minor handling marks. Mechanically excellent.
