Manufactured in 1920, this Winchester Model 1886 takedown rifle has the following special features: half magazine tube and shotgun buttplate. The left side of the barrel has standard markings and the top of the barrel and receiver have the Winchester factory oval proof at the breech. The upper tang has the three line model/trade mark information and the lower tang has the serial number. Hooded non-factory installed ramp blade front sight, replacement adjustable elevation rear sight and smooth forearm and straight grip stock with checkered hard rubber buttplate featuring the embossed Winchester logo.

Good. The rifle retains 30% original blue finish (mostly on the barrel, magazine and bolt) with the balance a smooth brown-gray patina. There has been some modification to the front sight by the addition of a rough sight. The refinished wood is also good with a couple large pressure dents and a few minor pressure dents. Mechanically excellent.
