Description:

This rifle was manufactured in 1917 in the desirable .22 HP caliber. Fixed German silver beaded blade front sight, rear two leaf flip up express style notch sight and a Lyman flip up adjustable rear peep sight mounted on top of the receiver. There is a cocking indicator at the top of the receiver, a cartridge counter on the left side of the receiver and a safety on the right side of the lever. The top of the barrel has the two-line address and patent marking with the barrel steel and model marking on the left side. Mounted on a straight grain smooth walnut forearm with Schnabel tip and straight grip stock with matching serial number stamped under the serrated steel buttplate.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. The rifle retains 97% plus of the bright original high polish blue finish overall. Displaying handling marks, light edge wear, 95% vivid colors remaining on the casehardened lever, and spotting on the otherwise fine factory steel buttplate. The wood is excellent with handling marks, and a few minor dings. Mechanically excellent.
