Description:

The Moore derringers were manufactured in the first half of the 1860s and were the first large caliber cartridge derringers. This same basic design was also manufactured by the National Arms Company and Colt later in the century. This example has the scroll, arrow, and floral engraving and is marked with the address on the top of the barrel and the patent marking and serial number on the bottom.

Rating Definition:

Fine. 60% plus of the original silver plating remains. Most of the loss is on the sides of the frame. There is some light oxidation and minor marks. The engraving patterns and markings are crisp. The action functions fine.
