Manufactured in the late 18th century. Part-round and part-octagonal barrel, mounted with decorative brass fore-sight, the octagonal breech section fluted and marked "LAZARINO COMINAZZO," flat lock plate profusely engraved with panoplies-of-arms and faces, cock engraved en suite, figured walnut full stock (restored), marked 4 at wrist, set with decorative gilded brass mountings (ramrod pipes replacements), the stock otherwise carved with relief scrollwork (absent restored fore-end), fore-end with horn tip, ram-rod with bone tip. Good, barrel with even brown patina overall, with some areas of staining and others of apparent cleaning, the fore-end of stock is a restoration, and both ram-rod pipes are replacements, stock re-varnished and bearing some old marks, expected wear to gilding on brass mountings, counter-plate likely a restoration, replaced ramrod.
