Description:

This is an early WWII G41 rifle manufactured by Berlin-Lubecker Company. These rifles were manufactured late in 1942 to early 1943 before all production switched to the later G/K43 series of rifles. This rifle has the early type 1, all machined receiver and various components including the bolt, bolt carrier, gas cone, early action cover as well as most of the internal parts. The receiver side wall is marked "G41 duv 43/Eagle/214" followed by the serial number "1382d". It has the correct matching late war laminated stock that is marked on the right side with a double "eagle 214" Waffenampt proof, a single "eagle 214" Waffenampt proof in the pistol grip area, and the matching serial number (1382d) on the underside. The rifle is equipped with the correct dark red/brown phenolic resin (plastic) handguard as manufactured in 1941/42 time frame. It has the standard military sights with the blade front sight and tangent rear sight graduated from 1-12 (100-1200 meters). It is complete with an unmarked WWII leather sling, front sight cover and cleaning rod.

Rating Definition:

Excellent overall with 90% plus of the original blued finish overall with wear on the edges and high spots, the exposed barrel/gas system, the top of the action cover and box magazine. The stock and handguard are both in very fine condition with a nice dark color overall showing light pressure dents, scratches and handling marks overall. Mechanically excellent. We have offered very few examples that were finer than this exceptional G41 rifle!
