Produced on a commercial basis before the rise of the Nazi party, this pistol shows the standard commercial markings and "crown/N" proofs, with the addition of a "reverse S" stamp on the right side of the frame, and the inscription "LT PAUL CHRISTEN/ALS DANK UND ERINNERUNG AN MEHR ALS 42 DIESNTJAHRE/KDO SIKRIPO BERN", on the slide commemorating over 42 years of service with the Security and Criminal Police of the Swiss Federal City of Bern. Additionally the pistol is outfitted with a 90 degree safety switch, ring hammer, checkered brown plastic grips and a matching magazine base extension. Included with the pistol is a brown leather shoulder holster stamped "SICHERHEITS- UND KRIMINALPOLIZEI/DER STADT BERN/NACHRICHTENDIESNT/Paul Christen/Kriminalpolizei Bern/Waisenhausplatz '32" on the inside.

Excellent, with 90% plus of the original blue finish, showing some thinning of the grip straps, light edge wear and handling marks overall. The inscription is sharply executed, and the ink stamping on the holster remains crisp. Grips are excellent, with some light scratches, and the shoulder straps and belt button are absent from the holster. Mechanically excellent.
