Dated 1938 on the chamber with the "S/42" code on the toggle. "Eagle/63" proofs on the barrel and extension, "droop wing eagle" firing proofs on the barrel, extension, and breechblock. "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" on the upper safety area and extractor respectively, full blue finish and checkered grips. With a pair of blue finished alloy base magazines marked "3262/d/eagle/63" and "3262/d/+/eagle/63" and a brown leather holster marked "KIMNACH U BRUNN/KAISERSLAUTERN/1940/WaA416" on the back, "WHITNEY" scratched on the flap and "D. WHITNEY" in ink on the interior, and a small takedown tool inside the flap.

Excellent, with 95% of the original blue finish, showing bright edges and mild handling marks. The grips are good, with the right grip panel marked "D. WHITNEY" in black ink and mild dings. The holster is fair as repaired, with replacement belt loops, scuffs and cracks, and the magazines appear renumbered. Mechanically excellent.
