This is a solid representative example of a DWM Model 1900 American Eagle Commercial Luger Semi-Automatic Pistol. These pistols were produced by DWM specifically for the US market as indicated by the use of the American Eagle over the chamber area. They are found in the 2000-20000 serial number range. Standard DWM markings on the front toggle. It has the dished toggles with toggle lock on the right side, recessed breechblock, 4 3/4 inch fast tapered barrel, grip safety, and no stock lug. They have a beautiful pre-war high polish rust blued finish with the straw colored small parts with checkered walnut grips. It has the first pattern safety, with the lower safety area unmarked and left with the bright polish. It is correctly serial numbered in the commercial fashion with the serial number (10070) stamped under the barrel and on the front of the frame which is also marked "GERMANY". There is a small importers stamp on the underside of the barrel which reads: "DEAC INC. AMHERST NH." It is complete with one magazine that has a polished magazine body with an unnumbered wooden base with no proof marks.

Fine with 60% of the original blue finish still remaining overall, wear on the edges and high spots overall, and the grips straps showing oxidation of the blue finish mixed with some light erosion/pitting visible in the middle of the front strap. The barrel also shows some light spotting in the center of the barrel. The walnut grips are in very good condition with a dark color on both sides and visible checkering. Mechanically excellent. It has matching numbers on the various parts except the grips which are numbered "30" on the back sides.
