Description:

Manufactured around 1934-1935, within the 753,000-941,000 PDM range indicated in James Rankin's "Walther Models PP and PPK" (page 104). The PDM is believed to be Polizei Direktion Munchen, the top police authority in the Munich region. Fixed sights, with "PDM/1054" on the left side of the frame, in addition to the traditional slide markings, "crown/N" proofs, and proper hand-scribed internal number. In addition to an early 90 degree safety, the pistol is fitted with a back strap mounted magazine catch and a pair of checkered Walther banner grips. Noted by serial number and PDM number in "Walther Models PP and PPK 1929-1945" by Rankin, page 104.

Rating Definition:

Very fine with 85% plus of the original blue finish, showing a brown patina on the grip straps and on top of the slide, a tiny patch of pitting near the model marking, bright edges and scattered handling marks. The chamber hood is bright, with some gray spots. The magazine is a replacement, notched for a button catch, but is a good fit to the pistol. Grips are also very fine with a few dings and scuffs. Mechanically excellent.
