Hooded inverted "V" blade front and tangent rear sights graduated from 100 to 2,000 meters (1-20). The receiver ring is marked with the "eagle/135" acceptance proof over "byf/44". The left side of the receiver and barrel are marked with a single "eagle/swastika" firing proof, and the left side the receiver side wall is stamped "Mod.98" in small block letters. It has the later style stamped and brazed components: barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate. It has the correct mid-war style bolt with a rib on the side. It is fitted with a correct laminated stock and handguard with a single "eagle/WaA135" proof on the right side. It is fitted with a cupped steel buttplate. All the various visible serial numbers are matching.
