Hooded inverted "V" blade front and tangent rear sights graduated from 100 to 2,000 meters (1-20). The receiver ring is marked with the "eagle/135" acceptance proof over "byf/44". The left side of the receiver and barrel are marked with a single "eagle/swastika" firing proof, and the left side the receiver side wall is stamped "Mod.98" in small block letters. It has the later style stamped and brazed components: barrel bands, trigger guard and floor plate. It has the correct mid-war style bolt with a rib on the side. It is fitted with a correct laminated stock and handguard with a single "eagle/WaA135" proof on the right side. It is fitted with a cupped steel buttplate. All the various visible serial numbers are matching.

Fine. The barrel and receiver have 85% plus original blue finish with handling marks, traces of spotting, nicks and dings on the barrel bands, and clear acceptance marks and proofs. The stock is fine with some flaking off of the finish, a clear proof on the right side, handling marks, and some scattered small dings. Mechanically excellent.
