This is a solid representative example of a late WWI German Army Artillery Luger rig. It has a "1917" dated chamber with the standard "DWM" monogram on the front toggle. The barrel extension has the three "crown/letter" proofs on the right side followed by the Imperial Eagle firing proof which are also stamped on the barrel and breechblock. Standard markings and proofs overall and it is fitted with a set of checkered walnut grips. The artillery length barrel is fitted with an inverted "v" blade front sight and a correct artillery rear sight that is fitted with the fine tune adjustment screw. Proper "GESICHERT" and "GELADEN" markings on the upper safety position and extractor respectively. It comes complete with one wooden base magazine that has been renumbered to match the pistol. Also included with the Luger is an original WWI artillery leather holster that is marked inside the flap: "H. BECKER & CO./BERLIN/1917". It includes a reproduction takedown tool and cleaning rod. This rig also includes an original flat board style artillery shoulder stock and attaching iron. The attaching iron has been professionally restamped "9147/d" to match the luger. The stock comes with the leather holster flap attached to the back side of the holster and the leather boot on the end.

Very good as arsenal refurbished with 70% of the blue finish overall with edge and high spot wear with light erosion/pitting on the barrel under the blue. The grips are in very good condition with visible checkering on both sides with wear across the tops of the checking mixed with some minor handling marks. The magazine has been renumbered. The stock is in very good condition with only minor handling marks on the sides with a slightly darker color on the left side of the stock. The holster, boot and flap are all in good condition overall showing wear and age cracking on the face of the leather. The maker marks are clear and distinct. At one time the holster was converted to a belt model and has been reconverted back to stock pattern.
