A refinement of the Walther Olympia model of 1932 the model 1936 was similar in appearance but had different lock work. The pistol has a high polish blue finish and is fitted with sharply checkered walnut grips with integral thumb rest. The magazine has a side release and is fitted with a wooden bottom. The 9-1/2 inch barrel is grooved to accept detachable weights; similar weights are attached to the bottom of the frame. The top of the slide is matted and fitted with partridge sights adjustable for windage. The front sight has a bead and is adjustable for elevation. The safety lever is located on the left side of the frame below the magazine release. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther banner followed by the factory legend and "WALTHERS PATENT" in two lines. "OLYMPIA PISTOLE" is located ahead of the slide serrations and the serial number "6365" is located to the rear of the serrations. The frame is numbered "63650" below the slide. The opposite side of the slide is marked: "CAL .22 LONG RIFLE." The barrel, chamber and top of the slide have "CROWN/N" proof marks. The pistol is complete with a key to remove the barrel and receiver weights.

Excellent. The pistol retains 97% plus of the original blue finish. The walnut grips are in excellent plus condition with a crisp checkering. All markings are sharp. Mechanically excellent. A rare target pistol of exceptionally high quality.
