Description:

Also known as the Model 1932, this is a very fine example of a fully automatic WWII German machine pistol as manufactured by the Mauser factory circa 1932-1935. These were standard pre-War Model 1930 Mauser pistols that were manufactured as a fully automatic weapon, with approximately 95,000 manufactured in total for both commercial and military sales. This one has the later "Westinger" designed, two position "locking" selector switch. The right side has the standard three-line Mauser factory address/markings with the small milled panel on each side. The chamber area is stamped with the three-line Mauser markings of "WAFFENFABRIK/MAUSER/OBERNDORF A/N" with a single "Eagle/N" commercial proof over a single Nazi Eagle firing proof. The left side of the frame has the Westinger designed selector switch, marked "N" and "R" with a small Mauser Banner logo behind the switch. Only the top of the bolt is numbered "93602" indicating it was a very late production model. It is fitted with a set of original, unnumbered, 12 groove, walnut grips. It is complete with one 10-shot magazine that is stamped with a "MAUSER" banner on the base plate. This is an extremely rare pistol as very few were actually legally registered in the U.S.

Rating Definition:

Very fine as arsenal refurbished with 98% of a dark blue/black finish with edge and high spot wear with finish loss on the sides of the receiver rails with some minor spotting and small nicks on the underside of the barrel under the blue finish. The markings are clear and sharp. The grips are also in very fine condition with a nice light color on both sides showing only minor handling marks. The stock slot in the back strap was at one time filled in with some material, which has now been partially removed, and the slot was repainted over. Note: This item is restricted as a National Firearms Act (NFA), Fully Automatic Weapon that is currently registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) that has been classified as a "Curio or Relic" as defined in 27 CFR, 478.11. These weapons are still subject to the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478.
