This is a rare example of a late model Danish Model 1950 light machine gun chambered in 30-06. This was the final version of the original Madsen Model 1907 light machine gun that remained in service with the Danish Army until the mid/late 1950s when the new Madsen/Saetter LMG was introduced in 7.62 NATO in conjunction with the change for all NATO countries. This example is a fully functional fully automatic light machine gun that is registered with the BATF. It is has the same "long barreled recoil system" as the original Model 1907 version only modified for use with the 30-06 cartridge. It is stamped with the serial number "109" on the left side and rear area of the receiver. It uses the side mounted large box magazine like the original. It has a carrying handle mounted on top of the barrel and is fitted with a blade front sight and a military style tangent rear sight graduated 200-1900 meters. The underside of the receiver is stamped "DENMARK MADSEN 50/Cal .30" followed by "IA CO. SAC CA". It has the original heavy walnut buttstock with a perforated barrel jacket and a folding bipod mount on the underside of the barrel jacket. The metal parts are finished in a black suncoat type finish. It is complete with a leather magazine/clip pouch that contains four original box magazines and an original Madsen spare barrel.

Very fine with 95% plus of the arsenal black suncoat type finish overall with edge and high spot wear with a small 2x2 inch patch flaked off on the left side of the receiver. The stock is in very fine condition with a nice dark color overall with finish loss on both sides of the buttstock mixed with numerous light handling marks overall. NOTE: This weapon is a restricted, National Firearms Act (NFA) Class 3, Fully Automatic Weapon, that is registered with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) under the provisions of 18 U.S.C. Chapter 44 and 27 CFR part 478. This weapon is currently registered as being "LIMITED TO USE AS A SALES SAMPLE (Pre-86)" and as such can only be purchased by an FFL, with a Class 2 or Class 3 SOT License.
