The barrel group features fixed beaded blade front and manual flip up rear notch sights, 3 inch chamber, and a full choke. The solid matte rib is fitted with claw style scope bases and mounted with a Landlicht 4x56 ill fitting replacement scope. The right side of the top barrel is marked "FREIBERGER," and the left side is marked "AUGSBURG". The receiver features detailed game scene engraving of two roe deer on the right in a forested scene and two stag on the left also in a forested scene. The balance features fine German scroll engraving. Fitted with dual triggers and a Greener style left side safety toggle. Mounted on a multi-point checkered forearm and pistol grip stock with an engraved cartridge trap showing a hare, horn trigger guard, horn grip cap, raised Bavarian style cheekpiece, and a serrated horn buttplate. Stock and barrel measurements are: bore diameter at 9 inches from breech .718 inches; wall thickness at 9 inches from breech .041 inches; drop at comb 1 1/2 inches; drop at heel 2 3/8 inches; 1/8 inch toe out; 14 inch length of pull.

Fine with 60% of the original blue finish on the barrels, and faint traces of case colors on the receiver. Displaying areas of a thin brown patina on the barrels, scattered dings, handling marks, and scattered light pitting. The receiver has aged to a mostly gray patina with handling marks and light spotting. The trigger guard is broken at the front screw. The wood is fine with handling marks, some smoothed checkering, small indentations throughout, and cracks and chipping on both sides at junction with the frame. Mechanically very good. The optics are very hazy.
