Manufactured in 1969 when Smith & Wesson switched to the "N" serial number prefix. The revolver features standard serrated blade front and adjustable notch rear sights, smooth barrel rib, pinned barrel, fully shrouded ejector rod, wide casehardened hammer, and serrated casehardened trigger. The barrel and frame feature near full coverage with elaborate leafy scroll engraving with contrasting punch dot backgrounds, standard model and maker markings, and a large S&W trademark on the right side plate. The grip frame is inscribed "F. Jones" on the left and "No.100." and "Feb '74" on the right. The consignor indicates the engraving was performed by a Dr. F. Jones of Baton Rouge, Louisiana and was his 100th engraved firearm. Includes a glass top hardwood display case with wine colored velvet interior, and a key.

Very fine as professionally engraved and finished with 99% of the blue finish remaining with only light handling marks overall. The grips are very good plus with some handling marks, small scuffs, some small dings on the bottoms and some light wear to the otherwise sharp checkering. The case is excellent.
