The accompanying factory letter (second page only) states that this revolver was shipped on May 12, 1927 to Wolf & Klar Co. of Fort Worth, Texas, with a 4 inch barrel, nickel finish and checkered walnut non-medallion grips. The engraving and pearl grips were added by Wolf & Klar. Most of the revolver is adorned with a vine leaf engraved pattern mixed with zig zag line motifs. The left side of the frame has an engraved 5-pointed star within a circle. The right side of the frame is inscribed "A.C. Francis." The top of the back strap has an engraved eagle. S&W factory markings are found on the sides of the barrel and frame. Frame and crane have matching assembly number "79873." The left grip panel has an engraved gold medallion. The right grip panel has an S&W medallion.

Very good as period embellished by Wolf and Klar Co. The revolver retains 90% plus of the replated chrome finish with most of the loss concentrated on the cylinder. The grips are excellent with a highly attractive color. Mechanically excellent.
