Description:

This 1891 dated Springfield rifle is in astounding condition and features a Buffington rear sight with precise windage and elevation adjustments and a fixed blade front sight. It has the standard markings and is mounted with an oil finished straight wrist walnut stock with a compartment containing cleaning tools. The bottom of the stock is marked the circle script "P" behind the lower tang, and the left side has a "SWP/1891" cartouche.

Rating Definition:

Excellent. 90% of the original blue finish remains along with nearly all of the vibrant case colors on the breechblock. There is some fading and heavier marks near the muzzle. The stock is very fine and has some small dents and minor marks. The cartouche and other markings are crisp. The action functions fine.
