Description:

Manufactured in 1900 in the correct carbine serial number range with a brass blade front sight in a raised mount, elevation and windage adjustable folding ladder rear sight with a "C" marked base, standard markings, a smooth half stock with grasping grooves and separate handguard, single barrel band, and curved toe steel buttplate with a trapdoor compartment (empty). The left side of the stock is stamped with a sharp "JSA/1901" script cartouche, and a circled script "P" is behind the trigger guard.

Rating Definition:

Good. The metal surfaces display mottled gray-brown patinas. The heavily sanded revarnished stock has some small scratches and pressure marks. The action functions fine, and the markings are mostly crisp.
