Fine. The formerly bright surfaces display gray and brown patina and some mild spotting, and there are faint case colors on the breech and lock. The stock is fine with clear cartouche and has some scattered dings and scrapes. The lock functions fine, and the markings are crisp.

This rifle has primarily the standard markings and features but has also been fitted with an experimental Model 1844 front sight cover. The cartouche on the left is dated "1893."

Very good. There are traces of original finish and otherwise a blend of brown and gray patinas. The stock is fine and has some chipping, small bruises, and scrapes and dings. The lock functions excellently, and the markings are mostly crisp.
